Car history: |
2) I am selling my 1970 stingray LT-1. I purchased this car a couple years ago from a good friend. He had it stored in a trailer for the past seven years. It had never came out of the trailer. At one time the car had been painted black for the exterior and the interior was changed to silver. When I bought the car I drove it for a little while the first summer. Then I decided to redo the car and take it back to original. I tried to keep as many parts that were good. I did upgrade to leather seats. The car was stripped down by hand to the original primer and repainted to Marlboro maroon. That is the original color of the car. The tachometer needs a new gear in the distributor and it is not the original engine. I have had the car looked at by several Corvette experts and they agreed that it is a true LT-1. The car is number is 850 off the assembly-line. The car runs and drives great. It has a M21 munci 4 speed transmission. The car has all new shocks, brakes and bushings just about a complete restoration. All the parts that I ordered came from Corvette America. The interior is all new. I have a whole folder of documents on the car. The car has T tops and a removable rear window also. repainted by the same owner. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is A14. BiN $22,000 on April 4, 2016. Ended at $12,900 (RnM) on April 10, 2016. Ended ay $15,210,21 (RnM) on June 13, 2016. 1) I have a 1970 corvette, T-top, Removable rear glass, with a munci 4 speed. I have lots of paperwork that goes with the car. The car is a big block car but has been cloned as an Lt-1 with a small block. Was repainted to black and interior done in silver in 1984/85. In 1999 after putting new tires and carb, it was listed in Hemmings for $24,000 then it went back in storage. Came out in 2001 and driven and then put in an inclosed trailer which is where it was when I bought it in April of 2013. I put a few miles on it, new shocks, complete suspention kit on rear and I have the front just not installed, new u-joints in half shafts as well as all new bearings and splined hub asembley. Car runs and drives great. I have no idea when the small block was installed. But have reciepts that go back to 1982 that shows all work done on car. The car does not have A/C. The only things that do not work on the car are the winshield wipers and tackometer. I replaced one gear for the tach and the other is stiped out. The wipers I think is a vacume problem. I do not have bags for T-tops or the original rims. Fiberglass is in great shape with a few minor cracks around corners of headlamps. The car was stored in an enclosed trailer in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. The car is not a rust bucket. I have receipts dating back to 1985 on everything that has been to the car. This is from oil changes, resteration and engine rebuild. $12,000 is my bottom price if it does not sell. $12,000. February 17, 2014. |
